NAPCOR Welcomes New Staff Member

February 19, 2018 (Florence, KY) – The National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) is pleased to announce its recent hire of Alasdair Carmichael as their Program Director.

Alasdair comes to NAPCOR with over 40 years’ experience in the synthetic fibers industry including his work as Director Fibers, Americas with PCI Wood Mackenzie and the PCI Group (Petrochemical Consultants International) since 2000.

Having lived in Europe, Asia and the United States, Carmichael brings a global perspective to the organization with an understanding of all major PET markets. Actively involved in fibers, PET packaging, resin and recycling in North America, Carmichael is also renowned as a speaker at many international conferences; and has numerous articles published.

“Alasdair offers our organization and members a unique perspective on the PET industry,” stated Rick Moore, NAPCOR’s Executive Director. “We are pleased to have him on board early in the year to begin working on our 2018 agenda.”

Founded in 1987, the National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) is the trade association for the PET plastic packaging industry in the United States, Canada and Mexico. NAPCOR is dedicated to promoting the PET package; to overcoming hurdles to the successful recycling of PET; and to communicating the attributes of the PET container as a sustainable package.
